I use technology to simplify and elucidate all sorts of difficult content, then send it via state-of-the-art publishing environments. Quark and WordPress are my go-to content management systems.
With a host of software and skills my capacity stretches from specialist support (collaborator level) to overseer (director / management / advisor level), built to fly solo or in winged formation with the editorial, production and design group. My career path is diffused over a complementary content creation field that blends writing and editing, in-depth research and analysis, desktop publishing and page layout/design, information design (including infographics) and a stack of finely-tuned communications skills. Idea generation and pattern recognition are major strengths.
Having taken a steady stream of jobs in the publishing, internet/media, financial services and entertainment industries since the 1990s, I know how to set up complex content within the proper tone, audience, regulatory or compliance framework. I tend to lean realistic, and futuristic wherever I can. I’ve also worked on web sites for small businesses, municipal governments, school systems and non-profits (educational/charitable organizations).

In 2023 I’m under contract and combining several functions: senior-level writing and editing; in-depth research and analysis across a wide range of subjects; editorial/layout design and assembly of statistical graphics/charts; publishing production; and think-tank style consulting and brainstorming. In 2019 I was the lead author on a web content team that won a prominent industry award for “Best Thought Leadership / White Paper Content of the Year.”
My days are split between the home office and the global headquarters of a Silicon Valley-based asset management firm. I’m situated among and within the portfolio/analyst, writing/editing, production, research and design staff (Investment Communications blended with Research & Analytics, Creative Services and Digital Publishing). I’ve also embedded with the CIO and other execs, plus a wide range of business consultants. I possess a deep and intricate understanding of US and global economies, markets and current events, all financial asset classes and the ties that bind them.
Acquired subject-matter expertise has surfaced in several niches, underscored by strength in information technology and dynamic technological innovation across all sectors; biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and health technology; commodities and natural resources (including energy and alternative energy, precious and base/industrial metals, rare earths and other critical or strategic metals/minerals); and utilities (e.g., electricity, gas, water, multi-utilities and renewables). With a creative and technical approach I’m able to develop content across any subject matter, sector or industry.
